Serving and advocating for women and children in Olympia since 1928, the Zonta Club of Olympia is a dedicated chapter of Zonta International—an organization founded in 1919 to empower women through service and advocacy, Visit our Facebook.
Chartered in 1928, the Zonta Club of Olympia proudly continues nearly a century of commitment to gender equality, leadership, and community support within Thurston County and beyond. Over the decades, members of our club have served in influential regional and international roles, helping to expand opportunities for women across the Pacific Northwest.
As part of the global Zonta community, we align with Zonta International’s core values: advocating for equality, education, an end to child marriage, and gender-based violence. Locally, our mission includes:
Supporting women and children in Olympia through scholarships, community advocacy, and empowerment initiatives.
Advocating for justice by partnering with local organizations to raise awareness and influence policy on issues like human trafficking, domestic violence, and women's health care access.
Championing education and leadership, particularly by recognizing and uplifting women professionals, students, and community leaders.
Coalition Building: We are proud founding members of the Thurston County Coalition Against Trafficking, working hand-in-hand to advocate for stronger anti-trafficking legislation and providing support to survivors in our region.
Community Outreach: We actively support local service organizations, develop educational programs, and contribute to scholarship opportunities for young women in and around the Olympia area.
Global Connections, Local Action: While rooted in Olympia, our work aligns seamlessly with global Zonta initiatives—bridging local service with international advocacy for women and girls.
