The Zonta Club of Olympia is dedicated to empowering women and strengthening our community through direct service and local grantmaking. Each year, we invest in programs that create lasting change for women and girls in Thurston County and beyond.
Every year, the Zonta Club of Olympia provides funding to non-profit organizations whose programs:
Improve women’s legal rights, health, education, and economic status
Work to end violence against women
Support leadership development and self-esteem for women and girls
Typical grant awards range from $500 to $3,000, and selected organizations are eligible for up to two years of funding.
We are proud to recognize the following organizations whose work reflects Zonta’s mission:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County
Community Action Council / Monarch Children’s Justice & Advocacy Center
Expanding Your Horizons – Annual Spring Event for Middle School Girls
Family Support Center of South Sound
Pizza Klatch
ROOF Community Services
Senior Services for South Sound
South Sound Reading Foundation
WSU Extension Thurston County / 4-H Youth Development
YWCA Olympia
In addition to our annual grants, we are proud to continue support for The Next Right Step Program, administered by Family Education and Support Services. This initiative provides women with the resources, mentoring, and encouragement needed to take their next steps toward independence and stability.
By investing in these organizations, the Zonta Club of Olympia ensures that women and girls in our community have access to safety, education, leadership opportunities, and economic empowerment. Together with our community partners, we are building a stronger, more equitable future.
