The Zonta Club of Olympia is dedicated to empowering women and strengthening our community through direct service and local grantmaking. Each year, we invest in programs that create lasting change for women and girls in Thurston County and beyond.
Every year, the Zonta Club of Olympia provides funding to non-profit organizations whose programs:
Improve women’s legal rights, health, education, and economic status
Work to end violence against women
Support leadership development and self-esteem for women and girls
Typical grant awards range from $500 to $3,000, and selected organizations are eligible for up to two years of funding.
We are honored and proud to support our 2025-2026 grant recipients, who work with women and girls in our communities, and whose work reflects the Zonta mission:

The Zonta Club of Olympia invests in the future by supporting women and girls through education. Each year, we award scholarships that recognize leadership, service, and academic excellence — empowering recipients to pursue their goals and create positive change in their communities.

Next Right Step fosters self-sufficiency by providing timely aid to motivated women who encounter an unexpected expense that impacts employment, transportation, housing or health.
Next Right Step raises money and sets the criteria that Family Education and Support Services (FESS) uses to screen applicants. FESS ensures qualified applicants have exhausted other funding options before making the payment to the vendor (not to the woman). Women can only receive one grant up to $750 once in their lifetime. FESS invoices the Next Right Step Giving Circle monthly and the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound reimburses FESS for services.
By investing in these organizations, the Zonta Club of Olympia ensures that women and girls in our community have access to safety, education, leadership opportunities, and economic empowerment. Together with our community partners, we are building a stronger, more equitable future.
