Advocacy is at the heart of Zonta’s mission. We are dedicated to raising awareness, influencing policy, and championing initiatives that protect the rights and improve the lives of women and girls.
Advocacy means speaking up—whether in support of a cause, in opposition to injustice, or in shaping laws, legislation, and community attitudes. For Zonta, advocacy is action taken in the public interest and for the greater good, always with the goal of advancing the status of women and girls and ensuring their human rights are recognized and upheld.
In Olympia and Thurston County, our club works to address the issues that directly affect women in our community. We collaborate with partner organizations, support educational initiatives, and take part in campaigns that promote equality, safety, and opportunity for women and girls.
25 November - 10 December 2025
The Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women campaign is a platform throughout the year for Zontians to speak up to promote the human rights of women and girls and end gender-based violence. We will hold several activities during this time to bring awareness to the community how prevalent gender-base violence is in the community and around the world.
